A year after the passing of Steely Dan's co-founder Walter Becker, a street in New York was re-named as a tribute to the artist on Sunday (Oct. 28). Located in Forest Hills, New York -- the street sign was unveiled at the corner of 112th St and 72nd Drive, where Becker grew up, and was co-named "Walter Becker Way."

Presented by New York's Q104.3 and organized by the rock band's fans -- the ceremony included speeches from New York City Council Member Karen Koslowitz, who initiated the project, and Howard A. Rodman, Becker's longtime friend and collaborator.

Becker passed away on Sept. 3, 2017, after a battle with esophageal cancer.
