Sir Paul McCartney Joins Muse Members in Dr. Pepper's Jaded Hearts Club Band Supergroup For 'Helter Skelter' Cover
Paul McCartney performs at Qudos Bank Arena on Dec. 11, 2017 in Sydney, Australia
It was one of those nights when you wish you'd gotten off the couch
and just gone out like your friend begged you to. Some lucky fans at an
intimate gig on Tuesday night (Jan. 16) got to see Muse singer Matt Bellamy and drummer Dominick Howard jam out on the Beatles' "Helter Skelter" with none other than Sir Paul McCartney.
It was the latest gig by the occasional supergroup Dr. Pepper's Jaded
Hearts Club Band, which also includes vocalist Miles Kane of The Last Shadow Puppets.
McCartney brought some extra juice to the cover of the song from the Fab Four's 1968 White Album, with Bellamy writing on Instagram, "Just did Macca with Macca #walkinglegend."
