Counting Crows Set to Headline 'For The Love of Sonoma' Fire Relief Concert
Counting Crows
With the destruction brought along by wildfires to California's North
Bay area, The Family Coppola, along with BottleRock Presents and Sonoma
State University’s Green Music Center have partnered up to host a
massive charity concert. Headlined by Counting Crows, proceeds from the
concert will benefit North Bay Fire Relief Fund and NomaGives, both charities aiding the same cause.
More
than 170,000 acres of land were scorched during the wildfires that
spread across Northern California earlier this month, which left homes
and communities destroyed.
Corey Beck, Francis Ford Coppola
Winery’s President and Director of Winemaking, explains in a press
release, "The spirit of community in wine country is strong, and we are
resilient, and it’s times like these when we band together and help
rebuild."
Dave Graham, CEO of BottleRock Napa Valley and BottleRock Presents,
added that this event highlights an issue that hit very close to home.
"Nearly all of us who work with BottleRock Napa Valley and BottleRock
Presents events live in the North Bay and have been affected by these
devastating fires in one way or another," Graham says in a statement.
"We felt it was important to also bring music directly to the North Bay
to raise both money and the spirits of our friends and neighbors in wine
country. We are extremely grateful to all of the musicians, crews,
volunteers, our BottleRock staff and all our partners and sponsors who
have stepped up to make these benefit concerts possible.”
Tickets, which range from $50 to $250, go onsale at 10 a.m. PT here.
