The Killers Deliver Swaggering 'The Man' Performance at the 2017 MTV EMAs
Brandon Flowers of The Killers performs on stage during the MTV EMAs
2017 held at The SSE Arena, Wembley on Nov. 12, 2017 in London, England
“I think we need some rock,” host RIta Ora proclaimed in the waning moments of the 2017 MTV EMAs. The evening already included a pre-recorded U2 performance and a Thirty Seconds to Mars acceptance speech from Jared Leto, but the Killers assured the SSE Arena crowd got a live rendition of their latest hit single.
"The Man" came to life, with frontman Brandon Flowers sounding on-point and confident, backed by a trio of female vocalists to add to the song's flashy choruses. The disco-influenced track comes from the Killers' 2017 album Wonderful Wonderful, released back on Sept. 22 on Island Records.
Catch all the snazzy synths and bass grooves in a clip of the performance below.
