For a record given such high praise, it failed to crack the US Top 40 and only reached #56 on the Billboard Hot R&B / Hip-Hop chart.

He and his brother Leonard were responsible for releasing early hits by Willie Dixon, Howlin' Wolf, Bo Diddley, Sonny Boy Williamson, John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, as well as Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley and Etta James.
