New Bob Dylan Box Set Installment to Explore Singer's Gospel Period

  Bob Dylan performs in 1980

For nearly 30 years, Bob Dylan has undertaken the Herculean task of mining his catalog for his ongoing Bootleg Series box set. On Wednesday (Sept. 20), he announced the latest edition in the series, Trouble No More - The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981, which will explore the singer’s gospel period and its accompanying albums: Slow Train Coming, Saved and Shot of Love.
The latest installment in Dylan’s Bootleg Series — the first of which came out in 1991 — will come in a two-CD or four-LP set, or a deluxe box that includes eight CDs and one DVD. The collection will feature 100 previously unreleased live and studio recordings, along with 14 songs never included on any Dylan release. Fans who purchase the deluxe box will also receive Trouble No More: A Musical Film, which includes never-before-seen footage of Dylan’s 1980 tour.
Trouble No More comes out Nov. 3 via Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings. Fans can pre-order the collection on his website.
Dylan also recently announced a fall tour in support of his latest solo album, March’s Triplicate. See the full itinerary here.
