LOU Pearlman, the man who discovered the Backstreet Boys and N’SYNC, has died in prison at the age of 62.
The music mogul put the hit boyband together in the ’90s and became a huge success in the music industry before being jailed on fraud charges.

Pearlman died behind bars over the weekend while serving a 25-year sentence connected to one of the US’s most notorious Ponzi schemes.
The news was first reported by TMZ.com, but no further details about his death have been made public.
Tributes have poured in from artists who worked with him over the years including N’SYNC’s Lance Bass.

In a post on Twitter, he wrote: “Word is that #LouPearlman has passed away. He might not have been a stand up businessman , but I wouldn’t be doing what I love today wout his influence. RIP Lou.”
Nick Carter’s pop star brother Aaron wrote: “Lou Pearlman my old manager died in prison… Rip Lou not the best business guy really at all but he did discover me karma is real.”
Debbie Gibson wrote: “A sweet soul and a huge influence on many artists.
RIP Lou Pearlman.”
