Taylor Swift Sets 'Reputation' Tour of Australia & New Zealand

Taylor Swift will take her Reputation Tour Down Under next year.
The pop superstar’s expanding trek will make the long haul to Australia and New Zealand for five stadium concerts, her first in these parts for three years. Just days after the announcement of nine more dates in the U.K, Ireland and United States, Live Nation on Monday (Dec. 4) announced Swift will open her Australia tour Oct. 19 at Perth’s Optus Stadium, then head to open-air venues in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane before hopping across the Tasman for a single show Nov.  9 at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium.
LN will produce and promote the newly-added concerts for Swift, who last toured Australasia in November and December 2015 in support of her 1989 album. Fans in Perth and Auckland can consider themselves lucky after missing out in 2015, while Swifties in Adelaide won't find any cheer in today's announcement.
Tickets for all shows will go on sale on Dec. 15, though subscribers of TaylorSwift.com will get an early window to buy tickets from Dec. 12.
Sales for these shows should prove to be, well, swift if the U.S. singer’s chart performance here is a good indicator. Swift’s sixth studio Reputation bowed at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart last month for her fourth leader in this market after 1989 (November 2014), Speak Now (November 2010) and Red (October 2012).
The new album, now platinum certified (70,000 units), also yielded the ARIA Singles Chart No. 1 “Look What You Made Me Do.”
